HOROTIU NOTES.

ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent at the residence of Mrs J. Washer, of Jtorotiu, on Saturday afternoon, the purpose being to raise funds for the building of a church. A bring-and-buy .stall was of great Interest, and items were given by Miss E. Small Held, Miss Starr and Mrs Ucgbic, and were much appreciated. HAPPY PARTY. A very happy children’s party was held in llie Ilorotiu Hall on Saturday afternoon. A large number of children attended, and the afternoon passed enjoyably with games of all kinds.
