KAIPAKI FUNCTION.

CRICKET CLUB DANCE,

A most enjoyable and successful dance and 500 tournament, organised by the 'Kalpaki Cri-cket Club in aid of the sports ground fund, was held in the Kalpaki Hall recently. There was a good attendance, Including visitors from the surrounding district clubs and their friends.

Excellent music was played by Clayton’s Orchestra (Cambridge), and confetti and novelty dances added to the fun of the evening. Mr Pal Lynds and Miss Joan Garmonsway were the winners of the novelty waltz, and Messrs R Sexton, jnr., and 11. Goodwin were M’s.C.

A 500 tournament was played by the seniors, the successful players being Mr and Mrs W. Cunningham.

Supper was served by the ladies of the committee, and dancing was resumed.
