LADIES’ SOCIAL CLUB.

MEETING AT EUREKA. The monthly meeting of the Eureka Ladies’ Social Club was held last Wednesday afternoon, Mrs Young presiding over a good attendance of members. An enjoyable time was spent with cards and competitions. Mesdames J. McLennan, A. Johns and Miss Salem an Were the successful card players, and Miss Una Townsend was tiie winner of a competition. Mrs Townsend reported fair business at tiie sales table. The hostesses were Mesdames Hunter, Johns and Miss Murphy. Those present were:—Mesdames Young, Cresswell, Harris, Townsend. Johns. Powdrill, Larsen, Hunter, J. McLennan. Misses G. Townsend, X. Johns, U. Townsend, N. Harris, M. Murphy, II Saleman, M. Hunter.
