DEATH OF BARONET.

SIR EDWARD DAVSON. INTEREST IN EMPIRE TRADE. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON. August 7. The death has occurred of Sir Edward Davson, chairman of the British Empire Producers’ Association. Sir Edward Davson, who was created a baronet in 1927, was the representative of the 'colonies and protectorates on ttie Imperial Economic Committee and was also a member of the Colonial Development Committee. He was vice-chairman of Barclay’s Bank, and a trustee of the Imperial j Institute. He was for some years chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire, and was a member of the Empire Marketing Board. His wife was a daughter of the late Mr Clay lon Flyu and Mrs Elinor Glyn, novelist. The heir to the baronetcy is ' Sir Edward’s eldest son, Mr G. L. S. Davson, who was born in March, 1922.
