HOROTIU EVENING.
QUEEN CARNIVAL FUNCTION. A very enjoyable Queen Carnival ’ function of cards and dancing- was held in the' Ilorotiu Hall tills week, j the Queen being Miss Valmal Hall. The evening passed with a euchre tournament, which was followed by - dancing, excellent musio being played ] by Mrs Holt, of Ngaruawahia. The winners of the euchre tournament were Mrs Coston, Mrs Collins, Mr M. Crosby and Mr Coston. Among those present were:—Mcsdames Runyan, Washer, Toulsen, Hall, Thomson. Burbush, Hutchison, Col- ( lins Coker, Wallace (Hamilton), ( Grantham, Jacobs, inixfleld. Holt. Al- , phors. Bright well (Woodvllle). Coston McCarthy, McDonald (Auckland). s Misses V. Hall. P. Runyan. Joy , Tltmarsh, J. Thomson, K. Smallfleld, M. Couch, N. Barry, M. Alphors. Sadd and J. Baker.
