YARDINGS AT WAIHI.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their usual Waihi stock sale yesterday when a small yarding- of all classes of cattle was pennpd. Cow beef was in short, supply and values remained firm at late rates. A small offering of dairy cattle comprised chiefly backward cows for which late rates were maintained. Competition for a medium offering of pigs was fully sustained and in tills section a total clearance resulted at late rate's: Fat cows m ide £ 7 lOs to £7 1 5s; fat Jersey cows. £t> 2s 6d to £6 12s 6d; lighter, £3 15s to £3 IDs; honer cows, £2 10s to £3 ss; Jersey heifers, close to profit, i'7 i.. £8; backward, £6 to £6 it>s; Friesian heifers, close to pro tit, £7 to £7 10s; calved Jersey heifers, £3 10s to £6 7s 6d; Jersey and Jersey cross cows, £5 5s to £6 15s. Choppers, £2 3s to £2 10s; light porkers to £2 -is; slips, 24s fid to 27s 6d, weaners, 15s to 17s fid.
