MINISTER CRITICISED.
GUARANTEED DAIRY PRICE. SCHEME NOT IN FAVOUR. (Times Representative.) MORRINSVILLE, Thursday. Trenohant critioism of recent statements made by the Hon. P. Fraser, to the effeot that the farmers were satisfied with the guaranteed price, was expressed' at the annual meeting of the Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company, to-day. Mr A. B. Ranby stated that if the farmers were consulted on the matter they would be only too ready to refute the statement and other speakers expressed the view that if a referendum were taken among the farmers the Minister would find that the scheme would be overwhelmingly condemned.
A resolution stating that the meeting was definitely not in favour of the guaranteed price and that they emphatically resented ministerial statements to the effect that the farmers were in favour of the scheme, was carried.
