STOCK AT MORRINSVILLE. BEEF RATES ADVANCE. (By Telegraph.—Special Reporter.) MORRINSVILLE, Friday. Light entries were forward at the weekly Morrinsville stock sale to-day when last week’s quotations generally were repeated. There was a larger proportion of good quality beef and improved rales were obtained under keen competition from butchers and , export buyers. 1 Prime cows and heifers sold up to £ll 2s 6d, while light ox made up to £ll. A large entry of dairy cattle met with a variable sale, tlie quality not j being up to tlie same standard as last j week. I A small entry of fat sheep was in keen request and values remained firm, best wethers selling to 35s 6d. Betj ter quality hoggets were similarly in keen demand and sold a»t late rales. A light entry or fat pigs was readily traded and last week’s values were generally exceeded. Medium steers made from £lO to £11; choice cows and heifers, £8 to £ll 2s 6d; medium prime, £6 5s to £7 15s fat. £4 to £5 ss; prime wethers, 35s to 35s 6rl: extra heavy prime hoggets. 32s to 34s 6d; prime, 23s 6d to | 20s 6d; lighter, 20s.
