THEFT ADMITTED.
COURT BAILIFF CHARGED. SOME COUNT 3 DENIED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Eight charges of theft involving £4l 8s were preferred against a court bailiff, Arthur Kingsley Bell, in the i Magistrate's Court to-day. He pleaded guilty to six charges, but denied two involving £B’ and £2 resI pectively. It was stated that accused left hur- : riedly for Christchurch and wa-s arrested there for drunkenness, and as a result of what he told the police he was detained. Evidence is being heard
