THE CIVIL BERVIOE. SHORTAGE OF CANDIDATES. FORCED TO MARRY EARLY. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel Copyright. BERLIN, August 3. Several million advertising columns, carrying loud speakers, are being erected throughout Germany, whereby members of the Government will be enabled to address the nation at & moment’s notice per medium of the microphone. The advertising space on the columns is meeting the cost. Forcing civil servants to marry early, the Finance Ministry is introducing a iaw increasing the salaries of married officials, also the extension of grants to large families. The industrial recovery is causing a shortage of candidates for the civil service, which 19 being met by lowering the educational standard. The Labour Ministry Is now considering re-admitting women into industry, after driving them out to mak* jobs for men.
