RETURN CROSSINGS. SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION. (Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 4. (Received August 5, 12.30 pjm.) The American Clipper 111 left Southampton this morning for Fovnes, Ireland, in readiness for her return crossing of the Atlantic. An Atlantic passenger service, allowing for breakfast in Europe and supper in America, was foreshadowed in (lie til'st ail-daylight crossing to be made by the Pan-American airways clipper from Foynes to Newfoundland on Friday. Starting at dawn, all previous flights have been made at night, but Imperial Airways and PanAmerican Airways agree that passengers prefer a daylight crossing.
