OPEN EVENING.
WAIKATO LYCEUM CLUB. PRESENTATION OF PLAYS. The presentation of three one-act plays was greatly enjoyed by the large number of members and their friends present last evening on the occasion of the open evening of the literary circle of the Lyceum Club. Incidental muslo between each play by Miss Annette Gillies was also much appreciated. BotfW -of Iceland popples,, wattle and peach blossom had been artistically arranged in the lounge, and later in the evening a delicious supper was served. The guests were received by the president of the club, Mrs Hugh Douglas, wearing a frock of black georgette, and fur cape. Miss M. Lovel, convener of the oircle, who was presented with a posy
