COMING-OF-AGE DANOE. To celebrate her daughter, Miss ♦Kathleen Horne’s, coming-of-age. Mrs Willoughby Horne arranged a delightful dance at the home of Mrs R. S. Hanna, of Leamington, recently At supper Mr R. S. Hanna proposed the toast of the guest-of-honour who out a birthday cake made and beautifully decorated by Mrs Hanna. Japonica and pink camellias were the charming floral decorations on the supper table. Mrs Willoughby Horne, wearing a frock of black velvet and a gold lame 'Coatee, received the guests. Mrs Hanna wore a frock of burgundy laoe and Miss Kathleen Horne was wearing geranium red cloque. Among those present were:—Mesdames J. W. Garland, wearing- vintage red maroce!n; H. P. Nelson, Ivory and petunia floral crepe; A. J. S. Richardson, rust crepe sole; Eric ißlomfleld (Auckland), rose beige crepe suede; W. Goodwin (Auckland), navy embossed georgette. SOCIAL EVENING. Members of the committee o,f the forthcoming bazaar of St. Peter’s Church, Cambridge, held a social evening to raise funds for the afternoon tea and the children's stall, recently. The first part of the evening was devoted to community singing interspersed with songs by the Convent school choir, a sword dance and a boxing display. After supper the evening was spent in dancing. SUPERVISOR ENTERTAINED. Miss N. P. Fitzgihbons. New Zealand supervisor of the Plunket Society, who has just returned from a world tour, was a recent visitor lo Cambridge. She was entertained by Mrs M. A. Bell, president, and Miss F. Hooker, secretary, and other members of the Cambridge branch of the Society, at morning tea at the Triangle Rooms. Those present were:—Mrs W. J. Oxbrow, Mrs C. W. Vennell, Mrs E. H. Leigh, and Miss McGulnness.
