IRON ORE.
CONTROL IN GERMANY. GOVERNMENT FOUNDRIES BUILT. Unfed Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright BERLIN, August 3. Having placed army officers in cnarge of the iron and steel industry, General Goering. Minister of Air, and controller of Iho four-year plan, has now thrown the State’s net over ironmining and smelting. He has ordered the creation of tlie Hermann Goering Ore Mining and Iron Smelting Corporation. which all mine-owners must join and turn their properties over to. The Government is also building a number of foundries, or which it will maintain control. These steps are said to be necessary to avert the threatened shortage of iron and steel. Germany mine's aTsout 5.000,000 tons of iron ore annually, and uses about 19,000,000 tons.
