The Paris correspondent of the Morning Herald states that “ nudity gowns,” with a flesh-coloured underdress beneath the lace, have been decreed by the fashion kings for next winter’s evening wear. Tall, slender women will rejoice in the' close-fitting mermaid gowns, with fishtail trains, while plump women will take refuge In the Directoire style, emphasising a short woman’s good points and concealing the defects.
