OBITUARY.

MR W. BERRY. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Mr William Berry, a former member of the New Zealand Hansard staff, died yesterday. A son of Mr William Berry, editor of the New Zealand Herald l'or many years, Mr Berry first worked as private secretary to the Hon. J. Bryce, Minister of Native Affairs, and in 1884 was private secretary to the lion. J. Sheehan. He was a former member of I lie literary staff of the Evening Post, Wellington. MR C. I. DASENT. <ul ••• W ELLINGTON. Monday. The death has occurred of Mr Cyril Irwin Dascni, aged 83 years. Mr Dasent was for 23 years secretary of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, a position from which he retired in 1932.
