BRIDGE AFTERNOON.
DELIGHTFUL FUNCTION. Mrs R. D. Duxfleld and Mrs R. B. McLaren, of Horotiu, gave a delightful bridge afternoon on Saturday in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Ngaruawahia. The room, was arranged tastefully with bowls of violets and primroses. Mrs McLaren wore an afternoon frock of black embossed velvet, with white relief, and Mrs Duxfleld wore fuchsia georgette with black panne velvet bridge coatee. The prize for the highest score was won by Mrs W. Cavanagh, the runnerup being Mrs H. J. Sampson, and the consolation prize went to Mrs H. D. Among those present were:—Mes- ? dames R. Eyre, G. B.
