Mr and Mrs Johnson are very old settlers In the district and have alwavs been greatly esteemed. Mr Johnson has farmed successfully and well a large tract or land on the Mangapiko Road, lie lias been a member or the Waipa County council for many years, and is also cnaliman of the ie Awamutu Elec - Mr and Mrs Johnson have always bepn staunch supporters of the pirongia Method - The evening was attended by a large gathering of Mends rroin all parts of the district. Solos were rendered by Mrs Bay Johnson, Miss Reine Bell and Mrs F. Webb: trio. Mrs. Miss and Mr Spencer; recitation, Atlss Spencer. During the evening Air ami Aircheque as a token of esteem from their many friends and well-wishers. They will make their new home in I•> Awamutu.
