COMPENSATING PRICE.

SUPPORT AT HORSHAM DOWNS. Support for fhn compensating price campaign was forthcoming in the’ form of a resolution carried at a meeting of farmers al Horsham Downs on Saturday evening, following an address in the interests of the National Party by Mr A. M. Rislev. Hamilton. The resolution which was in the form of a recommendation lo the National Party, was as follows: “That we strongly oppose die policy of raising costs and consider (hat the farmers should receive Hie compensated price until costs are reduced." This resolution was carried as an amendment lo one favouring a return to free marketing, which was rejected. Mr Risley. in his address strongly advocated producer control and urged all who were opposed to Socialism to support Ihe National Parly. The issue was a clear-cut, one between the Labour and the National Parties and no third party should be allowed to upset the polls. Mr T. Henderson presided.
