SOCIAL EVENING.
PRESENTATION TO MR SNELL. A very pleasant time was spent in the Rotokauri school recently when a social evening was arranged by the Rotokauri cream suppliers in honour of Mr F. Snell, wjio has recently retired from cream carrying after nearly 20 years spent on the Rotokauri cream Cards were enjoyed and songs by Mr McCall contributed to the evening’s pleasure. Supper was served by the ladies of the committee, who were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. After supper Mr McLachlan presented Mr Snell with a handsome armchair, asking him to accept it as a mark of the suppliers’ appreciation of his long service and as a token of the esteem which they had for him. Mr Snell suitably responded and was accorded musical honours. Auld Lang Syne brought a very enjoyable evening to a elose. Among those present were:—Mesdames F.
