Big Revues for New Zealand. Enoouraged by the extraordinary success of The Marcus Show, Sir Benjamin Fuller, head of Fullers Theatres Limited, has announced that his firm Intends to resume the presentation of good stage productions in New Zealand and Australia, this news coming as further confirmation that the legitimate theatre is entering upon a new era. Sir Benjamin’s next big show will be the Bertram Montague Revue Company, which is shortly to commence its Australasian tour in Melbourne (where the Princess Theatre is undergoing a transformation to provide a worthy setting l’or the company). The company, which has just completed a splendid tour of South Africa, will appear lu two spectacular and lively Lontdon successes, “ This Year of Carnival.” and “ Let’s Go Places.” One of the principal performers will be the English comedian, George Doonan. He is well known in the West End as a famous representative of the modern school of “dress-suit” comedians. The leading lady and comedienne will will be charming Barbara Vernon, a young American actress who made a remarkable personal success in the name part of “ No, No. Nanette,” when that musical comedy was revived at the London Hippodrome last year. k One of the most original and fascinating acts ever to he seen on this side of the world is the Darmora Ballet of 12 beautiful Hungarian girls. This Is under the direction of Madame Darmora herself. The Ballet are bringing all their own costumes, which arc estimated to be worth £lfi,ooo. Other performers will be The Two Rogues, comedy speciality act, and Jimmy Jewell and Ben Harris. English comedians. The Two Rogues are knook-about dancers who have been featured In many British films Including “ Rrewster’s Millions ” with .Tack Buchanan, and “ Evergreen.” starring Jessie Matthews. There will also be The Dawn Sisters. American eccentric dancers, and The Blenders, an outstanding mglo quartette. Ruth Chotterton on London Stage. Ruth Chafterton, American film star, appeared on the London stage recently in a revival of "The Constant Wife.” The production was not a success. Swimmer-Actress Divorcing Husband. Eleanor Holm Jarrclt. the famous swimmer, whose expulsion from the United States Olympic team for attending cocktail parties on board nounecs that she is divorcing her husband because of their diverfc**
