POULTRY, BUTTER AND EGGS. THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. AUCKLAND, Saturday. Poultry was marketed In medium supplies, the demand being keen. The prices paid, however, remained practically unaltered. Eggs showed a further decrease of 2d a dozen on the prices quoted earlie'r in the week. Values were:— Poultry: Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 4s 6d to 6s 6d each; not prime, Js 6d up; light breeds, prime, 2s to 3s 6d; not prime, Is up; fat roosters, heavy breeds, prime, 3s to 4s 6d; light breeds, 3s to 4s; fat hens, heavy breeds, 3s 3d to 5s 9d; light breeds, 2s 3d to 4s 3d; pullets, heavy breeds, best, 3s to ss; smaller, 2s up; light breeds, best, 3s to 4s Gd; smaller, Is 6d up; drakes, young,, prime, 23 fid to 3s 6d; smaller. Is 6d up; old, 2s to 3s 6d; ducks, young, 2s fid to 3s; old, 2s to 2s fid; geese, 4s to 5s 6d; turkey hens, 5s to 6s; gobblers. Us to 12s; day-old chicks, Black Orpington. 6d to 9d; Leghorn. 4d to fid. Butter and Eggs: Eggs, Hen, A grade. 2s o£d per dozen; B grade. Is llid; C grade, Is 6Jd; duck, A grade, Is ll£d: B grade, Is C grade, Is s£d. Farmers' butter. Is to is ls.d per lb.
