GENERAL RATE STRUCK.
RAGLAN TOWN BOARD. The decision to strike a general rate of 4d In the pound was made at a special meeting of the Raglan Town Board. Mr E. W. Bernard presided. It was decided to request the Hon. W. Lee Martin to meet the board at his earliest convenience to discuss the provision of a water-supply for the town. The following committees were elected: Works, Messrs H. Cushman and V. E. Pegler; finance. Messrs R. Pearce and A. A. Edwards; hall. Messrs Pegler and Cushman; sanitation, Messrs Pearce and Edwards.
