SURPRISE PARTY.
FOR MRS W. MACKY. ASSOCIATION’S PRESENTATION. A very happy surprise parly was taken by members of the committee of the Hamilton High School Old ('.iris’ Association on Wednesday evening to the home of Mrs W. J. McNicol in Hammond Street, in honour of tier daughter, Mrs W. S. Macky (formerly Miss Alison McNicol), who will leave shortly to make her home in Gisborne. The evening passed very pleasantly in competitions, anil at supper lime the. president of the association, Mrs R. E. Conradi, on behalf of the <Ud Girls, presented Mrs Macky. who had been assistant secretary, with a silver sandwich tray, with host wishes for her future. She spoke of the work Mrs Macky had done for the association, and expressed ils appreeialion. Mrs Macky suitably rcI plied. ! The guest-01-honour was wearing a frock of green flowered satin moire. Among - tlmsc present were: Mes- ! dames \Y. .1. McNicol. It. E. Conradi. A. I*. Nelson. Misses Edna Rennet I, Marjorie Houghton. Audrey Seddon, lb : Clegg, Joan Campbell. Phyllis Seccombe, Yul i Jackson and Mavis McGuinness.
