! STOCK SALES. TE AWAMUTU YARDINQS. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their tri-weekly stock sale at Te Awamutu yesterday, as under: A good yarding of sheep, comprising mostly fat lambs and breeding r ewes came forward. Prices for all fat sheep remained Arm on late quotations, but breeding ewes were easier. Medium fat wethers made £1 3s 6d to £1 6s 6d; medium fat ewes, 25s 6d to 275; light and unfinished, 18s to 225; heavy fat lambs, '24s 6d to 26s 9d; medium, 21s to 22s 6d; store lambs, white faced wethers, 20s to 22s 3d; black faced, 14s 6d to 19s 3d; small, two-tooth ewes, running with Southdown rams, £1 12s 9d; four, six and four year ewes running with Southdown rams, £1 12s 6d to £1 14s 3d; five and six year ewes running with Southdown rams, £1 5s 3d; aged ewes running with rams, 15s to 18s 6d. A medium yarding ot' fat and store cattle came forward and sold under steady competition, prices being fully firm. We sold on account of the estate of Mr G. O. Bayley eight Polled Angus bullocks at £l2 15s; four Hereford bullocks, £ll 12s 6d; one Polled Angus bullock, £ll 10s; also on account same vendor, eight, fat cows, £7 19s; on account Mr G. J. Walker, four prime fat cows, £7 16s. Good heavy fat cows made £6 to £6 18s; Jersey cows, £5 5s to £5 15s; fat Jersey heifers, £5 to £5 2s Gd; light fat cows, £4 10s to £4 17s Gd; ordinary, £4 to £4 10s; good quality .tore cows, £3 10s to £4; medium, £3 to £3 10s; boners, £2 to £3; potter bulls, £4 15s to £5; two pens of store Polled Angus cows, £6 Is; one pen store Polled Angus cows running with Polled Angus bull, £4 10s; good quality, good coloured yearling heifers, £3 15s to £4 ss.
A good yarding of dairies came forward and met with good competition throughout, especially on good young cows close to profit and in milk, and heifers well forward commanded keen competition. A nice little herd of 15 cows on account of Miss K. Collyer, Kopaki, averaged £8 10s, the top price cow making £l2. 'Other good young cows on account of same vendor made from £9 to £lO ss; fair quality Jersey and Jersey cross cows on account of other vendors made from £7 5s to £9; more backward and older cows, £5 to £6 15s; old co\\s, £3 15s to’ £4 JOs; two choice quality .ferscy heifers on account Mr .1, McGovern made £lO

A moderate yarding of fat pigs came forward and a particularly good sale resulted, prices realised being well up to late quotations. Store pigs were penned in average numbers and except in a few cases the quality of the pigs was particularly good. Good quality well grown store pigs commanded keen competition, while medium and small store pigs were only moderate in demand. Good quality weaners and medium slips were keenly sought. Sows close to farrowing commanded good attention. Light baconers made £2 12s to £2 17s; heavy porkers, £2 10s to £2 15s; medium, £2 to £2 10s; light, 35s to £2; medium choppers, £3 to £3 ss; ordinary, £2 to £2 7s 6d; large store pigs, 38s io £2 2s; medium, 30s to 3Ss; small. 25s to 2Ss; best slips, 20s to 255; medium, 15s to 20s; best weaners, 24s to 26s Gd; medium, 20s to 245; a line of 30 Devon weaners realised 21s; small weaners, 15s to 20s; sows to farrow, £4 10s to £4 IDssows with litters, £3 10s to £4 ss.
VALUES AT TIRAU. The Farmers’ 'Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their usual stock sale at Tirau, yesterday, when a good entry of dairy cattle came forward, meet--ing a good demand for quality closeup lots, while backward and inferior sorts were not so keenly sought. A small entry of fat cows was in firm demand, with boners showing no change on late rates. Good quality Jersey heifers made £8 10s to £9 ss; Jersey and Jersey cross heifers, later, £7 to £7 ss; more backward heifers, £4 15s to £5 15s; good quality Jersey cows, £7 10s to £8 10s; Jersey and Jersey cross cows, later, £6 to £7 ss; more backward and inferior, £4 to £5 10s. Cattle: Medium yearling Jersey heifers. £3 to £3 16s; smaller, 35s to £2 ss; light fat cows and heifers, £6 18s to £7 6s; killable cows, £4 15s io £5 12s: heavy boner cows, £3 10s to £4 Is; medium, £2 10s to £3 3s; lighter, 30s to £2 2s; potter bulls, £3 15s to £4 ss. Sheep: Aged ewes, In-lamb. 18s: cull hoggets, 9s to 11s 9d. The advertised implements sold well.
CLEARING SALE AT TAHUNA. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report, having held a clearing sale on account of the estate of the late Mr. W. J. Collins, Tahuna, yesterday, when the cattle came forward in good condition and met brisk competition from a representative bench of buyers, a total clearance being effected at satisfactory prices.
