RETURN TO DOMINION
RESERVE BANK GOVERNOR A DISCREDITED RUMOUR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTiJN. Wednesday. For two months-a persistent rumour has circulated that Mr Leslie Lel'eaux is not returning to tlie governorship of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, having accepted a position with tlie Bank of lnd a. The rumour is reliably contradicted, Mr Lel'eaux is due back in tlie Dominion 011 August 27. An appointment was recently made to a high position in the Bank of India, the appointee being an Engiisli nobleman.
