CAUGHT ON BAR.

RONAKI AT RAGLAN. BATTERING DURING NIGHT. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) RAGLAN. Wednesday. Battered by heavy seas and manoeuvring in the face of terrific winds, the Northern Steamship Company’s Ronaki, from Onehunga, remained tossing on the Raglan bar for several hours last evening. The ship was severely buffeted by high seas, which swept over the after part of the boat and the crew experienced trying hours when cargo broke loose and rolled across the decks. The compass was also dislodged, but nothing was lost. After being tossed relentlessly on the bar for half the Ronaki eventually cleared the harbour entrance. and berthed at the Raglan wharf. Apart from debris strewn over the decks and slight damage to gear the vessel was no worse for the rough passage.
