PRISONERS SENTENCED

ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE. THREE YEARS FOR INDIAN. (Special to Times) AUCKLAND. Tuesday. The following prisoners were sentenced by Mr Justice Callan yesterday:— Givan Ganesh, an Indlaii, for robbery with violence at Auckland on April 26, three years’ Imprisonment with hard labour; William Charles Seddon Purdy (26) and William Leonard Donovan (27), for theft of liquor, two years’ probation on special conditions; Charles Murphy (41), for uttering a forged money order, 12 months’ - imprisonment with hard labour; Frederick Robert Wardrop, for breaking, entering and theft, probation for two years.
