LATE MARCHESE MARCONI.
INCIDENTS OF LAST HOURS. MESSAGE TO LITTLE DAUGHTER. MUSSOLINI THE FIRST CALLER. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. ROME, July 26. The first words of the Pater Noster were on the lips of Marchese Marconi when he died early this morning, according to Mon-signor Ratti, a relative of the Pope, who administered the last Sacrament. During the night the Marchese had become seriously ill and said to his valet: ”1 am sorry, but I am going to put you and my friends to some trouble. I fear my end is near.”
Previously Marconi had dtctited a message to his daughter Eleltra for her seventh birthday. He was heard to say how fond she was of fruits and sweets. He was also heard to say his wife’s name ‘‘Maria,’ and ‘‘ltalia.” lie then lapsed Into unconsciousness.
The first caller in the morning was Signor Mussolini. He knelt by the bedside and remained a quarter of an hour. He was followed by other high personages.
