THE PRIME MINISTER.
A WELCOME HOME. MANY FUNCTIONS ARRANGED. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON. Monday. The Prime Minister, the Right Hon. M. J. Savage, is due back at Wellington from his tour abroad on Wednesday and many functions have been arranged to welcome him home. The steamer Rangitata is scheduled to berth at 10 a.m., and Cabinet Ministers will embark on the Janie Seddon to greet Mr Savage upon entering the harbour. Upon landing he will be aocorded a welcome by the members of the Harbour Board, and immediately afterwards a caucus of the Labour Party will be held to meet the Prime Minister who will be entertained at morning tea. In the afternoon another meeting will be held, invitations to which have been issued to presidents and secretaries of industrial organisations and branches of the Labour Party. It is expected that the attendance at this gathering will be between 400 and 500. In the evening a clvio reception will be accorded Mr Savage at the Tow? Hall.
