OBITUARY.
MRS M. WILLIAMSON. The death occurred at Katpaki today of Mrs Margaret Williamson, aged 71. The late Mrs Williamson, who was bora at Onehunga. was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Matthew Sims. She lived Jn Onehunga until her marriage to Mr James Williamson, of K&lpaki, Jn 1896. A keen Presbyterian Mrs Williamson, before her marriage was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the church choir. Her interest was maintained in the Waikato and she assisted in many church functions at Ohaupo. Her husband, two daughters and one son survive her. They are Misses E. Willlamsor (Te Awamutu), E. X. Williams* (Kalpakl) and Mr N. Williamson U Awamutu). MRS Iff. J. FLETCHER. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE. Monday. The death occurred suddenly at* he residence, Fort Street, yesterday, of a Cambridge Identity. Mrs Mary Jane Fletcher, widow of the late Mr Samuel Fletcher, aged 74 years. The late Mrs Fletcher, who was a very early resident of Cambridge, had j not enjoyed good health for the past, two years. She was widely known and greatly respected in the Cambridge district. Deceased is survived by her family of two daughters and three sons Including Mrs Bush and Mr Pat Fletcher, of Cambridge. MR. GEORGE ROGERS. (Special to Times.) MORRINSVILLE, Monday. The death occurred at Waihou recently of Mr. George Rogers (65). Deceased came to Morrlnsville about 35 years ago and was one of the best known residents of the town until he went to live at Waihou nearly 20 years ago. He was a foundation member of the Morrlnsville Oddfellows’ Lodge. MR. R. A. COOK. DARGAVILLE, Saturday. The death has occurred of Mr. Robert Aubrey Cook (90 years). Mr. Cook was a keen horticulturist. Bore in London in 1846, Mr. Cook came to New Zealand at the age of 12 with his parents in the Cashmore, landing at New Plymouth. The family moved to Thames when the gold rush started, and worked the Manukau mine. Leaving Thames in 1878. Mr. Cook came to the Northern Wairoa, where he Joined the firm of Brown and Campbell. at Mangawhare. later taking over the business in Dargavilie, from which he retired in 1933. MR. JOHN LOWDEN. AUCKLAND. Sunday. The death occurred at Northcot yesterday of Mr John Bowden i 74), who was the manager of the Noith-cote-Birkenhead branch of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company, until his retirement two years ago, after 35 years’ service. MATRON McGHIE. (By Telegraph. — Pres? Association ) PALMERSTON N., Monday. The death has occurred of Miss Janet Nicholson McGhie, who has been matron of ttie Palmerston North Hospital for tlie past ten years. Deceased was trained at Naseby, and had charge of the Chalet Hospital, Dunedin, subsequently. She saw war service and was Invalided home. Later she was engaged at the Returned Soldiers’ Hospital. Dunedin, and was tutor sister at the King George V. Hospital. Rotorua, afterwards becoming matron at Palmerston North.
