The Dally Mail says it understands that Mr William Winter, British chess champion and nephew of the late Sir James Barrie, has entered a caveat concerning Sir James’ will, through his solicitors. The will, which was executed four days before Sir James Barrie died, disposes of his estate of £250,000. Mr Winter is among the beneficiaries. Lady Cynthia Asquith, at one time Sir James Barrie’s secretary, has been bequeathed £30,000 anil she also participates in the residue of the estate.
