A tremendous explosion is reported to have destroyed the village of Stragara, many people being killed or injured. The inhabitants of a village 20 miles away were panic-stricken, believing that an earthquake had occurred. Troops were rushed to Stragara but as communications were cut off no details are available. Explosives were stored in the village for use in mining. FIVE KILLED, 30 INJURED. TEN HOUSES DEMOLISHED. SEVERAL BUILDINGS DAMAGED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received July 26, il a.m.) BELGRADE, July 25. At least five people were killed and thirty injured in the explosion which occurred on Saturday at the army powder store. The military authorities will •still not permit communication. An official communique says that some buildings were damaged by an explosion of old ammunition of Austrian origin, but it is known that the store-house in which there were 45 tons of gunpowder disappeared. A factory near the store was blown up, ten houses demolished, all other buildings damaged, and hundreds of cattle killed. A forest nearby was set on lire and is -still burning.
