VISIT BY OTOROHANGA. (Special to Times.) TE AWAMUTU, Monday. The Otorohanga senior Rugby representatives visited Te Avvamutu on Saturday to play 'the Walpa learn in a noncompetition game, Waipa winning by 86 points to 9. The Walpa forwards were too heavy and the local backs were too good Tor the visitors. Following were the teams: — Otorohanga.—K. Kite, G. Rogers, Sanders, B. Guthrie. R. Finlay, Snowden, Lake. C. Lisley, C. Finlay, Gooding. Prescott, Hlmara, E. Guthrie, L. Kempthorne, K. F. Smith. Walpa.—B. Quin. L. Young, K. Tippett, H. Bennett, J. Hanna, Preston. Wilson, J. G. Wynyard, C. Jowsey. H. Wynyard, J. Turney, A. Thomson, W. Danlells, M. Grace, Grant. Walpa attacked and the ball went to Young but be lost possession and Kite managed to kick behind. Sanders broke away and passed to R. Finlay, who scored by the posts. Kite missed the kick. Walpa 10, Otorohanga 3. Sanders broke away from half-way but Quin pulled him down well. From a scrum the ball travelled from Wilson to Preston to Hanna to Tippett, who cut through and scored under the posts. L. Young converted and hair- time came with the scores:—Walpa 15, Otorohanga 3. Upon the resumption Otorohanga attacked and Quin forced just In time, Hanna kicked down the field and J. Wynyard, following up fust, caught Kite In possession. J. Hanna broke through tho defence but bis pass was rorward. Beiu nett ran down the wing and kicked over the full-back’s bead, but Rogers came around fast to save. Turney, following up fast, was tackled but he passed to Bennett, who scored In the corner. L. Young failed with the kick. Walpa 18. Otorohanga 3. A pretty piece of passing ended In Young securing the ball and In a fine run from half-way went over under the posts. J. Hanna Tailed with the kick. Walpa 21, Otorohanga 3.

J. Wynyard and Turney broke away, but a forward pass spoiled the movement. Tippett dribbled through and a scrum took place on the line, but the visitors cleared well. The Otorohanga forwards bustled through and R. Guthrie scored in the corner. K. Smith failed with the kick. H. Wynyard, with Grant in support, carried play to the line and the former player was unlucky In not scoring. J. Turney Intercepted and In a tricky run beat the defence to score behind the posts. L. Young converted. —Waipa 26, Otorohanga Straight away the local forwards bustled through to the line, hut a lucky speculator cleared. The Walpa backs were tossing the ball about well but they were penalised. From a llne-out near Walpa ’s line llemara picked up and dived over In the corner. Kite Just failed with a good kick.
