GAMES AT ST. ANDREWS. SEMI-FINALS OF MATCH PLAY. The semi-finals of the match play events were reached on Saturday at St. Andrews golf links. The following were the results:— Captain's Trophy.—H. B. Seabrook beat W. Gunn, 3 and 1; L. J. Bryant beat C. C. Ladner, 6 and 5; W. J. Cassidy beat A. T. James, 2 and 1; A. W. Nlsbet and H. F. Blackie, all square. Vice-Captain’s Trophy.—R. McCaw beat R. J. Love, 4 and 3; R. A. McKinnon beat A. M. Fahey, 1 up; T N. Pemberton beat H. W. 'Fisher, 4 and 3; T, Simpson and E. V. Lane, all square. A best-ball bogey handicap was also played, the following being the ■best cards returned: —J. G. Ferguson and R. D. Harding, 6 up; W. J. King and C. B. Wake, 5 up; H. Riddell and R. W. Rutherfurd, A, Walker and R. Buisson, 4 up; A. F. Cole and W. A. Smith, 3 up; S. Mayes and M. N. Keenan, 2 up; P. G. Russell and J. F. Strang, 1 up; W. Westwater and F. W. Groom, W. Moffatt and M. M. Frost, all square. Hole in One. For the second week in succession a hole in one was accomplished at St. Andrews on Saturday, when A. F. Cole holed his tee at the tenth —a temporary green of about 110 yards.
