STOCK AT MORRINSVILLE. STEADY DEMAND FOR BONERS. (By Telegrapn.—Special Reporter.) MORRINSVILLE. Friday. Except for an easing in dairy values there were few prices changed at the weekly Morrinsville stock sale to-day. A keen bench of buyers competed steadily for an average entry of beef and Frankton rates were easily maintained lor ox beef. Also there was little alteration for cows and heifers. The yarding of boner descriptions was smaller than for some weeks but a steady demand is still evident for this type of cattle. The fat stieep section contained some good hoggets and these sold well up to recent rates, a good line making to 34s 3d. Several pens of fat lambs were only average quality but realised prices current at other Waikato fixtures. A line of breeding ewes brought spirited bidding from a large bench of buyers and met the market at from 32s 9d to 395.
A small entry of pigs and only a few bacohers were yarded, the majority offering being store sorts and choppers. With the absence of finished pigs the market was slow.
Quotations: Heavy Hereford steers, £lO 10s to £M 10s; lighter, £7 10s to £8 17s 6d; fat cows, £7 17s 6d to £8 lbs; others, £6 10s to £7; boners, 37s 6d to £1 10s; sheep—prime hoggets, to 34s fid; lambs, 22s 9d to 275; others to 21s.
