SALE AT CLAUDELANDS. HORSES FETCH OVER £SO. Selling under a good demand to an excellent bench of buyers representative of the North and South Islands, the sale of 30 Clydesdale mares and geldings on account of Mr. J. R. McMurrav, of 'Gore, was conducted by Hie Farmers’ Auctioneering Company, Limited, at the Claudelands showgrounds this afternoon. The horses were four, five and six-year-old. broken to all farm work. They arrived at the yards in excellent condition and aroused a good deal of interest among prospective purchasers. The opening prices ranged from £43 to £54, only one animal being quitted below £SO.
