HOME FOR CRIPPLES.
ENDOWMENT FUND. REPRESENTATION ON COMMITTEE. Mr G.• ,T. Park, secretary of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society, has written to Mr W. H. Paul, chairman of the Hamilton Wilson Home Crippled Children Fund as follows: “ I have been informed that the Mayor of Auckland gave an undertaking that when the' committee was appointed for the administration of the Wilson Home for Crippled Children, that the local bodies outside of the Auckland Hospital district would be consulted in this regard. You will have noticed that the Wilson Home' project is now authorised by the Minister and is going forward. “ I have to inform you that the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society elected the members to represent it on the committee at a. meeting held, last week, and that the Auckland Hospital Board is prevented by the present, legislation from selecting representatives who reside outside of tlie Auckland Hospital Board district. 1 may point out, however, that the Auckland branch of the society has members from every district., artd its executive committee members have the right to appoint, three representatives on the eomhined committee. I am not informed definitely as to the pledge given by the Mayor of Auckland-. hut 1 understand that if it does require legislation, this will be put forward if the outside boroughs desire it.’
