OUTBREAK IN MELBOURNE. DEATH OF FOURTH VICTIM. United Pr*ss Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright MELBOURNE, July 22. A fourth victim of infantile paralysis —a girl aged ii—died in Melbourne yesterday. Another suspected case was reported to-day, bringing the total to 23. .So far all the patients have been children, except a nurse, who acquired the disease through contact with patients. The affected area appears to be spreading. Another school was closed to-day, making eight, and others are likely to be closed.

The Government has appointed a board of medical specialists to make a thorough research into the origin of the disease and to advise as to treatment and precautionary measures.
