ENTERTAINED IN AUBTRALIA. VISIT TO NATIVE TOWN. AN ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received July 23, 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 23. Residents of the old gold-mining town of Sofala yesterday accorded the Hon R. Semple an enthusiastic reception, when he returned with his wife to the district where he was born. A civic reception was given by the Turon Shire Council. Mr Semple was also entertained by local residents.
