CIVIL AIR RESERVE.
CANDIDATES APPROVED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Thursday. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. !•’. Jones, has announced the candidates approved for training for the Civil Reserve of Pilots. There are Ihree members of the Auckland Aero Club, four from Hawke's Bay, five fix m the Middle District, nine from the Otago Club, nine from Wairarapa, six from Wellington, and nine from the West Coast United Club. I The Ihree members of the Auckland A. . o Club chosen are Messrs w B Mackley, J. F. W. Ilardingham and G K. Maelvenzie. Mr Ilardingham was formerly a member of (he literary staff of the Waikato Times and is an e\puptl of the Hamilton Technical College. Out of the eight candidates who have been selected in the Auckland Province four have been from the Hamilton Technical College. Ihe others besides J. F. W. Ilardingham being L •I.
