FATAL MOTOR AOCIDENT. DEATH OF E. MCDONALD. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, July 22. A fatal motor accident occurred today, the victim being E. A. McDonald, a Victoria cricketer, who has been playing lor the Lancashire League. A car McDonald was driving collided with another vehicle near Bolton. It is understood that lie got out of his car after swerving into a field and returned to the road, where he was knocked down and fatally injured by a third car. McDonald, who was born in Tasmania in 1892, represented Victoria and Australia before going to England under engagement to play in English county cricket. He was a member of the Australian team under Warwick Armstrong, which made a triumphal tour of England in 1921. After qualifying for Lancashire, McDonald gave great service to his country and remained one of the leading bowlers in England for several years. Later, he took part in the Lancashire League competition.
