TWO MINUTES’ SILENCE.
THE LATE MARCHESE MARCONI. TRIBUTES OF RESPECT. MEMORIAL SERVICE IN LONDON. (Official Wireless.) (Received July 23, 1 p.m.) RUGBY, July 22. Yesterday evening, at the hour of Marchese Marconi’s funeral, all British Government wireless telephone and telegraph stations were silent for two minutes. The men operators and girls of the international telephone exchange stood to attention as a mark of respect. All Bristol broadcasting stations also observed u snort silence. The Postmaster-General represented the Government at a memorial service in London to-day. A memorial service was also held at Chelmsford Cathedral last night.
