PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS.
WELLINGTON PROSECUTIONS. “COURTS MUST DO TEACHING.” (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. A number of prosecutions were brought to-day under Hie new regulations governing both pedestrians and motor drivers at light-controlled crossings and crossings laid down under Hie regulations. Convictions were entered in all cases, hut no penalties The Magistrate remarked that lie could see that the traffic officers would he busy for some time. Some people only seemed to read the court news and lie indicated that the courts would, therfore, have to do some of the teaching.
