Salary Rector-anom—The Prime Minister in an interview yesterday at. \Velllngton, stated that the Government, had promised to restore salaries and wages to the 1931 level and that promise would he carried out in its entirety. Prom-ens on Borough Depots—Excellent progress is being made with the erection of a new depot. for the Hamil—ton Borough Council in \Vard Street, and it is expected that 'work on the roof will he completed in a few days. An analy—sis revealed that in one sample 16 per cent of water had been added and 11 per cent in the other. The defendants were G. V. Theme and L. M. Prank—herd. farmers. of Rawhitiroa. The Magistrate intimated that further cases would be severely dealt with.
