ENJOVABLE GORDONTON FUNGTION 'The Knox Presbyterian congregation gathered in large numbers hi. the home of Mr and Mrs J.‘ Sainsbury recently to honour Miss Mary Sharp on the eve of her marriage. A particularly pleasant evening was spent in games and competitions. Mr F. Williamson was .\LC. On behalf of those present Rev. Lilburn called on Miss Sharp to accept. a large number of parcels. and paid tribute to the many fine qualities of the guest of honour, which had won for her the regard and esteem of a wide circle of friends. On behalf of the Bible Class Miss Mary Williamson ihen presenied a handsome picture. expressing the hope that it would serve as a reminder of the many happy years of class work and friendship .\lr Len Kempsier and Miss Sharp suitably replied. and were accorded musical honours. After supper cheers were called for Mr and Mrs Sniushury for the use of their home. and the singing of Auld Lang Sync closed u very happy gather—ins.
