Berkswell Up—tu—date sth. were offered for sale in the Dominion. and animated competition was shown for entries by this great boar. and prices above '3O gns were not uncommon. The auctioneers were the Farmers' Auctioneering Company. with Mr S. B. Webb in the rostrum and Mr W'. .1. Livingstone as sales manager. Comprising a total at 167’; entries. the offering included Berkshires, Tzunworths and Large Blarks, the bulk or the offering being Tamworths. A keen demand was shown for both sows and ‘ boars, and a highly satisfactory ‘cleaiu i none was made. Berkshires ranged in price from 3 to 34 ans. Tamworths from 5 to 2'7 gust, and Large Blacks from 3 to i2 ans. For a Berkshire sow. Nakaus Gay Lass, by Nakau Cavalier from Nakau Gaiety. a championship winner. Mr \\’. R. Grant. of \\‘r-iisford, paid 34’ ans. the top price of the day. In the sale of Tamworths. Mr L.
