CONFERENGE OF MEN. ASSEMBLY AT CAMBRIDGE. An important event in .Angllcan circles will be inaugurated at Cambridge to-day, when the 23rd Dominion conference of the Church of England Men‘s Society will be opened Delegates from all parts of New Zea—land will take part in the conference, which will extend over three days. . The order paper includes addresses by leading churchmen, and discus—isions on important phases of church activity. The conference will be presided over by the Bishop of \Vaiapu. England Men‘s Society will be opened. Proceedings will open this after—noon with a devotional service in St. Andrew‘s Church conducted by the Yen. Archdeacon G. 11. Gavin. In the evening there will be a procession of witness, followed by a service in St. lAndrew's Church. A social function will conclude the first day‘s programme. 1 The principal business will be itransactcd on \Vednesday and Thurs< ‘day, when there will be addresses. ‘discussions, and the election of ofllcers. 0n \Vednesclay evening a public meeting in the parish hall will be addressed by the Rev. Canon Percival James, of }«\l\'ellington. The theme or the convarenue discussions will he modern lovangeiism. __—
