A golfing incident believed to be unique occurred at the Shirley links this atfernoon when in a four-[ball match a hole was halved in one. W. T. D. Harman had the honour and played a well—hit shot which found the cup. His partner, K. J. Walker. then played. _ After a remark by one of the four that he had that shot for a half, .\I. H, Godby played and his tee shot also went in the hole. Both balls pitched about the same place, slightly to the left of the line to the pin and rolled round the slope into the hole. ____.
