WOMEN’S AUXILIARY.
UNEMPLOYED WORKERS. Mrs Sanderson presided over the meeting of the Women’s Auxiliary Unemployed Workers’ Movement which took place on Tuesday at the residence of Mrs C. Parsons. Regarding the closing of the Meat Depot, it was decided that the Welfare League be approached and if possible to have the supply of meat kept going for the next three or four months. For their courtesy and consideration during the years the depot has been open, the secretary was instructed to send a letter of thanks to Mr Benge and to Mr Penny. further discussion on the new rates of susten—ance was left till after June 1. when these would be in operation. Mrs Lincham, who is the visitor to the hospital, gave her report as to the patients there. It was decided that members put on a play for the birthday in August. Morning tea was served by Mesdames Parsons and Walker.
